If you are attempting to ingest an MPSLabo DCP on a SONY projector, there is the possibility that you might have an issue seeing the content. This is because the SONY projector’s USB port is not a powered port and is not supplying the DCP hard-drive enough power for the server to be able to ingest the content properly. If this is the case, please attempt one of the following solutions which should fix any issue with readability and ingest.

1. CONNECT DCP TO INTERNAL POWERED USB HUB.

Sony projectors have an additional powered USB hub that is located INSIDE the projector, behind the rear panel. FIRST, the projector needs to be powered off. Then, the top and side covers need to be unscrewed and removed, after this is done you should have access to the rear port, connect the drive to the port, put the covers back in and THEN power up the projector. Refer to your user’s manual, this is an example for a SRXR320P:

2. CONNECT DCP TO PROJECTOR AND A LAPTOP.

This is the easiest solution with the proper cable. You will need a Dual USB 3.0 type A to Micro-B USB Y cable, similar to this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005M0ICG2/ref=od_aui_detailpages00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

This Y-adapter connects to any laptop, PC or Mac with a USB port and will send power to the DCP so that it can be read on the SONY projector.

3. CONNECT DCP TO AN EXTERNAL POWERED USB-HUB.

You can also connect the DCP directly to a POWERED USB strip with a MALE adapter, similar to this one: https://www.target.com/p/macally-power-strip-black-unistripmp/-/A-51922230#lnk=sametab

Connect the DCP to the female end of the power strip and then connect the male end of the power strip to the projector.
